This program is built upon the classical teaching approach, fostering a robust foundation in basic sciences before students delve into the clinical realm. The educational curriculum seamlessly integrates theory and practice, ensuring a holistic understanding of medical concepts.
Students are provided with invaluable practical experience through engagement in State hospitals within Osh city. These opportunities enable early patient interaction through visits to general practices, enriching their clinical exposure.
The study regimen adheres to established study plans, meticulously designed to align with the field’s accreditation standards. These plans evolve to capture both the advancement in knowledge and insights from the perspectives of both educators and learners.

Kyrgyzstan, situated in Central Asia, is a landlocked nation characterized by its mountainous landscape. It shares borders with Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west and southwest, Tajikistan to the southwest, and China to the east. Prominent urban centers include Bishkek, Osh, and Jalal-Abad. Throughout history, Kyrgyzstan has occupied a pivotal position as an intersection for various influential civilizations, notably along the Silk Road and other vital trade and cultural pathways. The country maintains membership in several international organizations, such as the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Eurasian Economic Union, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Turkic Council, the Türksoy community, and the United Nations.
With its mountainous expanse encompassing more than 80% of the nation’s territory, Kyrgyzstan is often likened to the “Switzerland of Central Asia.” The majority of its landscape is dominated by the Tian Shan mountain range, while valleys and basins constitute the remaining portion.
Situated within the northeastern Tian Shan, Issyk-Kul Lake claims the distinction of being Kyrgyzstan’s largest lake and the second-largest mountain lake globally, second only to Lake Titicaca. The most elevated peaks grace the Kakshaal-Too range, which delineates the border with China. Among these, Peak Jengish Chokusu stands as the loftiest summit at an impressive elevation of 7,439 meters (24,406 feet), a distinction that geologists acknowledge as it is recognized as the northernmost peak surpassing 7,000 meters (22,966 feet) across the globe.
Kyrgyzstan is rich in mineral deposits, boasting significant reserves of precious metals like gold and rare-earth metals. However, owing to its rugged mountainous nature, less than 8% of the land is suitable for cultivation. This agricultural activity is primarily concentrated within the lowlands of the north and the peripheries of the Fergana Valley.
For centuries, Osh has stood as a vibrant hub of education, science, and technological advancement, shaping its identity as a student city with a rich history. Nestled within the picturesque Ferghana Valley and embraced by its mountainous landscape, Osh has been a beacon of academic and cultural significance for over a millennium. This second-largest city in Kyrgyzstan holds the mantle of administrative center for the southern region, thus aptly regarded as the Southern capital of the country.
Osh is a multifaceted destination offering a multitude of recreational options. The city boasts various amenities such as sports stadiums, centers for physical activities, swimming pools, and billiard clubs. Winter enthusiasts can indulge in skiing and other winter sports at the dedicated sports center. Cinemas screening the latest English, Russian, and Indian films, as well as drama theaters hosting captivating performances, contribute to the entertainment scene. The vibrant cultural fabric comes to life through concerts featuring renowned Russian and Kyrgyz artists.
The culinary landscape is equally diverse, with a myriad of cafes and restaurants serving delectable dishes ranging from fast food to Italian, Russian, Uzbek, Chinese, Pakistani, and Indian cuisine. Osh’s mountainous locale blesses it with pleasant summers, attracting vacationers from neighboring cities who revel in the city’s natural beauty. A continental climate prevails, with summer temperatures ranging from +15°C to +30°C and winter temperatures from –5°C to +15°C. The city’s boulevards and parks offer serene escapes beneath the shade of numerous trees.
Osh is imbued with an aura of history and culture, being one of the oldest cities in Central Asia, tracing back some three thousand years. Its significance during the medieval ages was heightened as a crossroads of trade, connecting India, China, and Europe along the renowned Silk Road. Monuments like the statue of southern Kyrgyz “queen” Kurmanjan Datka and one of the few remaining Lenin statues can be found here. The city also houses the 16th-century Rabat Abdul Khan Mosque, the second-largest mosque in Kyrgyzstan. Notably, the Sulayman Mountain stands as Kyrgyzstan’s sole World Heritage Site, offering panoramic vistas of Osh and its captivating surroundings. Osh truly encapsulates a timeless blend of history, culture, and scenic allure, inviting exploration and appreciation.
